The concept of Internet of Things is to connect equipment used in production to a network to extract and share information for the purpose of production improvement. The amount of data generated can be significant since it is uploaded every few seconds to provide real-time production information. This data is stored in a Data Warehouses which have the unique capabilities to store huge amount of data and are optimized for query, reporting and advanced analytics.
